With moderation by Tufts Senior Associate Dean Deborah Nutter, the meeting participants exchanged their ideas on the political, legal, and humanitarian aspects of the Artsakh-Azerbaijan conflict, as well as various geopolitical regional developments. In his comments, the Permanent Representative of the Nagorno Karabagh Republic in the U.S. Robert Avetisyan stressed the importance of a comprehensive and constructive negotiation process, the restoration of NKR’s full participation, and the implementation of confidence-building measures between the conflicting sides.

Avetisyan also offered ideas on reinforcing the ceasefire regime and intensifying effective negotiations towards a peaceful resolution of the conflict. A Q&A session followed the remarks by the panelists.
