During last week’s massive attack on Armenia’s eastern border by Azerbaijan’s military, over 200 Armenian soldiers and civilians were killed. In addition, the Republic of Armenia lost additional territories to Azerbaijan.
This unprovoked Azeri attack comes on the heels of the 44-day war in 2020 when Azerbaijan occupied most of Artsakh and killed thousands of Armenian soldiers.
Since then, Azerbaijan has been regularly attacking the Armenian population of Artsakh as well as the sovereig

Let’s see. During the 44 day war, the Armenian government did not fully mobilize and deploy it’s own armed forces and even turned away Armenian volunteers. Don’t believe it? Meanwhile, Russia is recruiting foreign volunteers to fight in Ukraine.
Why are the Armenian and Artsakh governments not making a worldwide call for Armenian and Christian volunteers to rush to defend the countries? Why do we always try to use someone else’s hand to pull our chestnuts out of the fire?
Nikol dreamed of abandoning Artsakh and unconditionally opening up Armenia to Turks and Azeris his entire adult life. He even wrote about it as far back as the early 2000s. This is why Western and Turkish money brought him to power in 2018. He had a task to perform. It was therefore obvious (for some of us with a thinking brain) back in 2018 that Armenia would suffer a defeat in Artsakh.
Had it not been for Russia’s last minute military intervention on Nobember 9, 2020, all of Artsakh would have fallen to the Azeris and a genocide of Armenians there would have taken place.
Fast forward to last week. The recent border fighting errupted as soon as Russia suffered a serious setback in Ukraine. Nikol’s regime was aware that an attack will take place a week before it happened. It was even discussed in the parliament. Instead of mobilizing Armenia’s armed forces to thwart the impending attack, he publicly called on Russia to save Armenia. Nikol and his Western and Turkish benefactors understood that Russia is in no shape or mood to start a war with Azerbaijan – especially for a Western and Turkish financed regime in Armenia, especially over a border matter that did not pose a threat to Armenia. Nikol’s appeal to the CSTO was therefore done simply to deflect blame from itself, make Russia look bad, foment anti-Russian hyteria in Armenian society and open the door for Pelosi’s visit to Armenia – which is primarily meant to further muddy the waters, disorient Armenians and drive a wedge between Russia, Iran and Armenia.
Put aside everything you think you know about the situation in Armenia and Artsakh and watch these two video reports. Nikol’s regime is allowing Western and Turkish interests to draw Armenia into a very dangerous game against Russia and Iran. If this continues, Armenians will face another genocide in the foreseeable future.

“Armenians have to give up the belief that an outside power, whether Russians or Americans, will save them. No one has and no one will.” Well said. Therefore, Armenian society must mobilize and form the garrison state. This is a “state of mind” that has practical consequences. I won’t elaborate on all of them here. Basically everything has to be geared to strengthening Armenia and diaspora militarily, economically , and diplomatically. No more tolerance for incompetence, nepotism, theft, oligarchy and lying..
