I applaud Dr. Balian for penning this important book on the cycle of genocide faced by the Armenian people and the loss of and longing for Western Armenia.
I sincerely hope that it is translated into numerous languages and made into a feature motion picture film because its plot is quite riveting and its impact on me, as the grandson of an Armenian Genocide survivor, is unparalleled.
I am 50 pages into this book and it is not just exciting but very informative as to what is happening in Turkey in modern times. Nothing has changed in the hinterlands from 1915 to the present day at all.
Turkey is still utterly brutish and anti-Armenian.
That is but one lesson I expect to learn from this realistic novel.
