The ARF Hai Tad (Armenian Cause) Central Council issued a declaration on March 19 demanding attorneys involved in genocide survivor insurance settlement cases to “voluntarily and immediately submit the settlement disbursements to a full and complete independent professional audit and inform the Armenian people of the results.”

In recent days, the news that two of the attorneys of the Genocide survivor insurance settlement case are accusing their co-counsel for defrauding the community by diverting settlement funds meant for Armenian national and community organizations, has caused much concern in Armenian society.
Regardless of whether these accusations prove to be true or not, they do have the capacity to shake the trust of our people concerning national matters, although, in these cases, the lawsuits pursuing mainly personal interests were initiated and led by individual attorneys.
We can not ignore these allegations: a) because they are being made by individuals who have been in a position of knowledge; b) because the allegations pertain to the defrauding of resources, which are the property of our people as a whole and national organizations specifically.
In order to keep –as much as possible– the trust of Armenian society intact, we call upon the accusers and the accused, and demand that, independently of the court proceeding, they voluntarily and immediately submit the settlement disbursements to a full and complete independent professional audit and inform the Armenian people of the results. The process should have been carried out in such transparency from the very beginning; now it has become urgent and crucial.

Transparency builds integrity, honesty and Unity.
Note the types of terms the ARF always employs…We DEMAND!…It is OUR RIGHT! STOLEN! SACRED! We are JUSTIFIED!…just to name a few. Ever notice how much self-rightousness and arrogance are always used by the ARF, and a tremendous lack of humilty and humbleness being so obvious! How do you all think this reflects upon all Armenians in the world’s view? Don’t you feel that the entire planet has gotten just a bit sick of it over the decades? I’m just saying.

No I don’t think so. I think you are having a brain fart. Organizations are to be for support for our nation. That is what true organizations do.
Robert, how do you think Turkey looks by denying this crime for 95 years? How do you think your denial and insensitivity toward the descendants of those murdered by your ancestors makes you look? It is still possible for you to be more humane.
Robert believe it or not we, the people love to see such straightforward demanding words from a prominent organization that helped us to keep our identity in diaspora, there are all kinds of Armenian organizations but just ARF has the guts to defend our rights and ask for accountability.
There were some funds available and has been distribute among “Armenian Organizations” and I don’t see any problem if a prominent organization like ARF is asking for auditing.

When people get scared of auditing it reminds me of this saying:
They lifted the stick and ”The Thief Cat” escaped.
Of course, it should have been done voluntarily. I thought the ARF used great restraint in their wording. Any individual, or organization, or group who chooses secrecy over transparency is always suspect. When you have nothing to hide, you hide nothing.

ARF is not an organization only, it is “justice for Armenians” it is an organization that keep each Armenian to be proud of our long struggled history against Armenia’s enemies, (especially Ottomans) where many other mighty civilization wiped out and disappeared from face of the world, but Armenians!!this is an achievements!! I personally salute ARS and their unselfish guidance of Armenians, either inside or outside of Armenia…

Erdogan is too busy “hosting” Kofi Annan, murdering Kurdish performers (Ibrahim Tatlises) – jailing, ‘silencing’ and torturing Turkish journalists who dare to expose the ‘questions’ of the murder of Hrant Dink and his attorney, his Islamic agenda and partnership with Syria, Iran, arms smuggling for Hizbollah and Hamas, along with the muslim brotherhood – and MUST silence the Turkish military – whilst bribing the corrupt Kofi Anan to “hand over” the illegally occupied Cyprus ……….and bribing lobbyists to enable more theft, loot and plundering of minority populations.
Bad news – is that the decent and courageous Turkish journalists are reading between the lines, and finally seeing through the deception of Erdogan’s greed and paranoia, and the fact that Erdogan has become a proxy for his masters in Teheran and Rihadh.
Not only should Turkey be held responsible and accountable for the genocide of minorities, but for all the property, homes, lands and lives they STOLE – PLUS damage and interest. Erdogan’s partner in Kurdish crimes, Assad – is facing his own demons at this time, and will be exposed for the low life criminal he is.
