Russia and the Future Status of Shushi

It seems to me that this whole charade was a pre-planned “war”, and I am fairly certain that the “anti-Russia” Pashinyan was merely the continuation of the “pro-Russia” Sargsyan regime. I don’t know to what extent Kocharyan was involved, but for me, Serjhik Sargsyan = Nikolik Pashinyan. Now it makes sense how Serjhik was all too glad to do a “test run” in 2016 and give away some lands just to “see what happens with the public”. Public acceptance meant “go ahead and give the rest away later on”. Ultimately the entity responsible for this disaster are the majority Soviet-bred anti-ARF Armenians living in Armenia. How is all that 100-year anti-ARF-at-all-costs ideology working out now for you guys? Duxov, perhaps?

As much as the fraudulent “friend” Russia irritates me, I must admit the clowns masquerading as a “government” all these years in Armenia irritate me a lot more. We Armenians in the diaspora haven’t seen a single elected country head to be proud of in Armenia for 30 years. Not a single one. Despite being a typical Soviet-bred Hayastantsi anti-ARFer, we kept our mouths shut for the past two years to see what Pashinyan could accomplish. A total disaster, one which Armenia may never recover from. Not that the previous two were any better. All they did was delay things while they looted the country.

Now I may ask, with all these claims by Armenia how “Russia is our historic friend and ally”, how is it that the Turks/Azeris who never made such claims, were able to use Russia so effectively to the point that we can say Russia actually turned AGAINST Armenia? Let’s put aside the supposed “anti-Russia” Pashinyan. Where are all those Soviet Dinosaurs of Armenia who supposedly had so much leverage and connections with “Mother Russia”? Perhaps the Turks, Azeris, Russians and our “leaders” were in on this all along?

Remember: Russia could have easily rejected any invasion by Turkey/Azerbaijan against Artsakh from the outset and made it clear it will support Armenia openly because the security of Armenia is threatened, instead of throwing the Armenians of Artsakh to the wolves.

Also, Turkey openly aiding and participating in the war against Artsakh proved to Armenia that it’s so-called “Ally” didn’t do the same and is thus not an ally. Russia’s excuse: Artsakh if recognized as part of Azerbaijan. (Self-Determination? What’s that??). However, this is an outright lie when we realize that if that was true, article 9, a blatant assault against Armenia’s sovereignty, would not even be under consideration, let alone part of the agreement. Armenia is not part of Artsakh, thus what right do you have to make such ridiculous demands? Azerbaijan has a powerful ally and open support, Armenia has nothing, thanks to “Mother Russia”, and in fact “Mother Russia” makes deals and agreements with Armenia’s enemies out in the open.

I hate to say it, as despicable as Russia’s attitude has been against Armenia for the past century, maybe even Russia felt so sorry for the outright stupidity and incompetence of the Armenian government that Russia actually saved Armenia… from itself.
