Boole to Speak at Men’s Club Dinner

WATERTOWN, Mass.—On Mon., Oct. 3, Dana Boole, the president and CEO of Community Affordable Housing Equity Corp. (CAHEC) in Raleigh, N.C. will speak on the “Insiders’ view of public/private low income housing” at the dinner meeting of the St. James Armenian Church Men’s Club.

Boole’s duties include managing CAHEC’s operations and overseeing its fundraising efforts throughout the United States, with a primary focus on the Mid-Atlantic and southeastern states. Created in 1992 to help finance the development of affordable rental housing in North Carolina, CAHEC today is a non-profit equity provider operating in 10 southeastern and Mid-Atlantic states. Since its founding, CAHEC has raised and committed more than $1 billion toward the development of over 16,000 units of affordable housing. Its core business is to provide tax credit capital to a variety of low-income housing, specifically working with partners to address the nation’s growing shortage of affordable housing by providing households earning 60 percent or less of the area median income with safe and quality rental housing.

Boole came to CAHEC from Edison Capital Housing Investments in Boston. As acquisitions director at Edison, he focused primarily on equity syndication in the eastern U.S. Before joining Edison, he was vice president of acquisitions for National Partnership Investments Corp. and commercial real estate consultant for the Leggat Company. Boole received his bachelor of arts in economics from the University of Vermont and his MBA in finance and strategy from the F.W. Olin School of Business at Babson College. He currently serves as a Class B director for the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond and is a standing member of its human resources, and chair of its audit committees.

The social hour starts with mezza at 6:15 p.m., followed by a complete losh kebab and kheyma dinner at 7 p.m. Admission is $12 per person. The dinner meeting will be held at the St. James Armenian Charles Mosesian Cultural and Youth Center, Keljik Hall, on 465 Mt. Auburn St. in Watertown, Mass. Ladies are welcome.
