WARWICK, RI—The Armenian Students’ Association (ASA) has awarded $164,800 in scholarships to 34 deserving students of Armenian descent enrolled in American colleges and universities.
The ASA Silver Medal Award Committee has also selected two seniors to receive the Silver Medal Award. Arya Anoush Balian of Chevy Chase, MD, is a senior at National Cathedral School. She will be attending Columbia University. Ariana L. Hovnanian of Bedford, MA is a senior at Bedford High School and will be attending Bryant University. The Silver Medal Awards are given annually to high school seniors who have demonstrated outstanding scholastic ability.
The members of the Board of Trustees thank their many generous benefactors who have made it possible for the ASA to assist young men and women in their educational pursuits. Over the past eight years, the ASA has been able to award over $1,000,000 in scholarship grants.
