Poem: Chimera

You do have eyes
but do not see
you have a mouth
but do not taste
you have two ears
but do not hear
you have nostrils
but do not smell
you have two hands
but do not feel
you have two feet
yet to be kissed…

Go to sleep my love
perhaps in a dream
you will cast away
the dark nightmare
of reality and see
the skies in their glory
taste the warm lips
of a lover or two
hear the call of the wind
and smell the roses
in the breeze
and feel the caress
of loving hands
on your body…

Wake up from reality
and live my lovely.
