Alexander Kitroeff

Alexander Kitroeff is a history professor at Haverford College in Pennsylvania. He also researches the history of Greek identity in Greece, among the Greeks of the Ottoman Empire and the diaspora. He served as the historical consultant of the documentary films “Smyrna 1922: The Destruction of a Cosmopolitan City” and “From Both Sides of the Aegean: Expulsion and Exchange of Population, Turkey - Greece 1922-24.” His most recent book is The Greeks and the Making of Modern Egypt (2019).
