David Calonne

David Stephen Calonne is the author of William Saroyan: My Real Work Is Being (Chapel Hill and London: University of North Carolina Press) and most recently The Spiritual Imagination of the Beats (New York: Cambridge University Press, 2017) and Diane di Prima: Visionary Poetics and the Hidden Religions (New York: Bloomsbury, 2019). His book Conversations with Allen Ginsberg will be published in July by the University Press of Mississippi. He has lectured at the European University in Florence, the University of London, Columbia, Oxford, Harvard and the University of California at Berkeley and taught seminars on Saroyan and Armenian-American Literature at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and the University of Chicago.
