He and his father left on a “Business trip” to a nearby town after being warned by a friendly Turk they were coming the next day to kill him so he took his eldest son and left. My father was 15 at the time. He lived In Los Angeles most of his life and died in 1991 at age 94. I turned 96 yesterday, Sept. 14, 2024.
