Last week, two Azeris arrogantly declared themselves to be the leaders of the fake “West Azerbaijan Goycha-Zangezur Republic,” which claimed to include Lake Sevan and the Syunik province of the Republic of Armenia. This announcement was made a few days after the barbaric attack on the eastern border of Armenia by Azerbaijan.

For too long Armenians have looked down on Azeris as having “ lame brained ideas ” , stupid and unwilling to fight. Unfortunately the descendent of Tatar nomads are now seriously challenging the very existence of two millennia old Christian Armenia. Aliyev has been able to use his oil wealth and diplomatic skills to form a strategic alliance with Turkey, neutralize Armenia’s strategic ally Russia and obtain modern weapons from Israel and other countries. These accomplishments were not matched by Armenians who think they are superior. When Aliyev makes claims over Armenia and does not recognize the Armenian race and religion, one should think of Hitler in 1936. At that time Hitler was not taken seriously and no one thought he could cause so much death and destruction.The balance of power must be restored by mobilization of entire Armenian society.
