  5. to Admin:
thank you for letting us know that there will be a broadcast of events. Please also let us know if there will be any hard copy publication available for order by our university libraries.

  6. What is all the buzz about? Did the high commissioner of human rights at UN, at any time question the Holocaust? What a shame for the world intellectuals and historians. No wonder, centuries of lies, aggression, oppression and butchering of fellow man, has brought the human race to the brink of extinction. Today, in the world, the most fragile and questionable existence of the species – the human animal-is in dire danger. But the politicians still do not have the brain to concentrate and pursue honesty and fair causes.
But I do not blame the individuals who pursue their end of the game. It is the majority of the population who is ignorant and indifferent towards fair causes. What a shame.

  7. Anahid: I think you will find that this conference will prove to be worth all “the buzz” and then some. There will be well researched papers presented  by people with laudable credentials. It is not a “game,” as you call it, for these scholars. They intend their work to make a vital contribution to the body of knowledge in the field of human rights and reparations. Their goal is to make a difference. Those of us who do not have the privilege of being there to hear their papers, will be grateful for their published reports. How will we convince politicians and the general population, who you say are ignorant, to take action unless we have well researched and documented studies? How will they understand what defines justice in the field of law and reparations without seminal work such as this? That’s what these scholars will present. I think you will find that that’s what the “buzz” is all about, and it’s worth waiting for.

  8. To Anahit and Perouz?
Anahit´s indignant outcry shall we say,is in place  of course. What  have  these like conferences achieved(I and hope she as well)w/ref. to our CASE/CAUSE Versus Great Turkey(latter adjective true) since you figure out who made her “Great”,rather a small Monster  in that area of the world, thinking (erroneously) that Turkey would be their Gendarm   against  whom? again pray tell me.Some Anglophonmes erroneously think that great Turkey  is the answwer to RRRussian agression.Agression, my foot!! They do great  biz together now to the chagrin of the Anglo Ams…then if she , like sself  these like conferences are futile, is correctisimo(again mind  you as rgds g.Turkey) they will nevber be guided  by the aforementioned Anglo Ams…
Otherwise Perouz  also is right as rgds holding  organizing such conferences for the world public to learn and be educated .But pleasse Perouz  not for a second doubt  it  that Turkey and their diplomats/politicians  will be laughing (kitneroun dag) under their nosses  to such naive Armenian activism…did  I say Activism…I uttered  the wrong word for these like activism.Activism is when when do the following:-
BRING TO THE ATTN:of the anglo american oil compnies  that when the circumvented the oil pipeline around Armenia(their eversomore ongoing ally) they are responsible for that ERROR  and when our attorneys GAIN THE VERDICT  ON THE REPARATIONS  ISSUE AGAINST GREAT TURKEY-my viewpoint  is to label  it in two words-BLOOD MONEY..forget for the time being  land/property  issues, for that will automatically be followed up once  BLOOD  MONEY case  is won!!!!and why did I bring up the OIL COMPNAIES and involve  them in this matter?
Quite simple great tURKEY  WILL  NEVER PAY REPARATIONS.They have been so much papmpered by aforementioned “allies”  in getting non-returnable  handouts that to expect  that they pay….unheard  of.THIS IS MY OPINION MAKE THE OIL COMPANIES PAY RESTITUTION  FROM OIL TRANSIT MONIES TO GREAT TURKEY TO HEIRS OF THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE AS LONG  AS THEY CARRY OIL THROUGH TURKEY on a percentage  basis to RA Government and AGBU respectively and equally for  the Armenian heirs are both in thosse areas. The conference  after”proving” genocide occurred, for the umptieth  time to the world, should bring up the “BLOOD  MONEY “claim.
Rest indeed Perouz is O.K. keep on pumping  unneeded  brains into Turkish diplomacy..they don´t  need  that they have their own ottoman turkish inherited ones.

  9. I cannot agree that oil companies, or anyone else other than Turkey, should pay reparations to the descendants of Armenian Genocide victims. Oil companies did not send my family out of their home into the Death Marches. Oil companies did not murder my family. Ottoman Turkey did. Oil companies are not built on the plunder of our historical homeland. Present day Turkey is. I also do not agree that the intention of this conference is to “prove again the reality of genocide for the umpteenth time,” as you have stated. No scholar on this panel is interested in entering into a debate on the reality of genocide. This issue was settled long ago. These scholars are going to present their research papers on law, justice, ethics, repartions as it applies to genocide, and, as I understand it, to the Armenian Genocide in particular. Let us not be critical of well-researched work by acredited people, before it has even been presented. And, I do not believe that Turkey is “laughing under their noses” as you claim. I think that conferences like this inform scholars and intellectuals in Turkey and universities around the world, keep our issues in front of the world, further general knowledge, and support  our cause. I also think that this conference sends a strong message to Turkey that these issues are not going to be forgotton, they are not going to simply go away with time. They will have to be dealt with, or Turkey itself will suffer.

  10. When will Americans realize that Turkey and the US have absolutely nothing in common!  Turks do not believe they are accountable for their crimes against humanity!  They slaughtered innocent women, men and children during WW 1, The war for freedom during the twenties against the “real” citizens of Anatolia, Greeks, Armenians, Assyrian, Georgians and Kurds.  They successfully committed genocide against 4 million Orthodox Christians and got away with it.  This did not end their lust for Orthodox Christian blood.  They invaded the Greek island of Cyprus.  Destroyed Churches which were 1,000s of years old.  Stoled land that belonged to the Greeks and gave it to their displaced Monoglian people.  Slaughtered 1/3 of the population of this Greek island.  Turned our churches into casinos.  Yet, they are not punished!  Why?  Even the Germans paid restitution for their evil deeds during WW 1 and WW 2.  Why are the Turks rewared?  Don’t understand, please explain!

  11. That is what I have been trying to understand mself Aphrodite… many questions, many unanswered questions…

I just dont understand why the world stands back and lets these monsters go unpunished…i don’t get it…
