Armenia’s new blood infusion

The Russian war with Ukraine may have some positive effects for Armenia. As a result, thousands of young and well-educated Armenians from Russia have emigrated to Armenia to avoid being drafted in the Russian army and fight in the Ukrainian war. Some estimates say that over 100,000 Armenians with their families have moved to Armenia since 2022. Many are skilled engineers, IT specialists, teachers and other computer savvy individuals. They will help Armenia’s booming and growing tech industry. These new Armenians have helped to boost Armenia’s GDP, growing the economy. The stability of the Armenian government and avoidance of any military conflicts will make Armenia the “Silicon Valley” of the Middle East. Armenia has to start working on that vision.
