George Aghjayan, that is an amazing detective work and detailed map that corroborates with the satellite picture. I wished we had a similar map of the Armenian section of Gesaria/Kayseri.
Thank you for your incredible article! I am looking for my grandfather’s family info. He was named Paul (Boghos) Boranian . His parents were Bart( ton) Boranian and Rose (Vartui?) Dolbashian. My grandpa had 2 brothers and one sister. Paul Boranian immigrated to the U.S. , fought in WWI and looked for his family members after being discharged (checked with the Red Cross) and could not locate any of them.

I am looking for information about Dolbashian family, more precisely about the family of Bedros Dolbashian which was born in Palu c.a. 1840. His son Kaspar moved in Constantinople in late 19th century and finally in France after the genocide. Most of Dolbashian (Dolbachian in french) families in France are descendants of Bedros and Kaspar. Maybe it could be a connection with Dolbashian household you discuss here.
My great grandmother was Rose Dolbashian who was married to Barton Boranian. Their son, Paul Boranian, was my grandfather and I am trying to find out about both families. Can you help me?
