My Grandfather was studying art in Paris when the genocide took place. He finished his education and came to America. He met my Grandmother in New York City and they married and had two sons. He never spoke of the genocide with his children or wife. I can’t imagine the heartbreak he lived with as he painted and taught art at a New Jersey University. So sad our country has never acknowledged this horrible genocide.
