Pietro Shakarian

Pietro A. Shakarian is a PhD candidate in History at The Ohio State University in Columbus, focusing on Russia, Eurasia and Caucasus. He earned his MA in Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. In addition to The Armenian Weekly, he has also written analyses on the former USSR for The Nation, Hetq Online, Russia Direct, and the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC), among other publications.
