OC Media is a news outlet based in the Caucasus co-founded in January 2017 by Mari Nikuradze, Dominik K. Cagara, and Caroline Sutcliffe, initially under the auspices of Chai Khana NGO. It has received funding from the UK Government’s Conflict, Stability and Security Fund, the European Endowment for Democracy, the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung South Caucasus Office, Open Society Foundations, and the United Kingdom Foreign and Commonwealth Office, with joint commissions with International Alert (EPNK/European Union Initiative), Civil.ge (COBERM), and Open Democracy Russia. Its goal is to bring readers the latest news, commentary, multimedia, and investigations from north and south of the Caucasus, with in-depth analysis of the issues, movements, conflicts and people shaping the region.
