AYF NY Chapters announce entertainment lineup for 2023 NATs

NEW YORK, NY — The Armenian Youth Federation (AYF) New York “Hyortik” and Manhattan “Moush” Chapters are excited to host the 2023 AYF Eastern Region National Athletic Tournament (NATs). The event will be taking place over Presidents’ Day weekend from February 17 – 20, 2023.

Hotel accommodations at a discounted rate have been arranged with the LaGuardia Plaza Hotel. Games will be played at Queens College.

Attendees and athletes can pick up their Hye Passes at the welcome desk in the lobby of the LaGuardia Plaza Hotel upon their arrival on Friday.

Friday night’s entertainment will be held at the hotel ballroom with entertainment by DJ Harry Latirofian.

Basketball and volleyball tournaments will begin on Saturday. Buses will shuttle back and forth from the hotel to the gymnasium at Queens College. Shuttle schedules will be advertised closer to the event. Later in the evening, Sako Tashjian and his band will be performing in the hotel ballroom.

Final championship games for basketball and volleyball will take place on Sunday. The weekend will end with a night out at Katch Astoria with entertainment by Chris Kidbibz Habibian.

Hye Passes are available at a discounted rate of $115 until February 1.

AYF Manhattan "Moush" Chapter

AYF Manhattan "Moush" Chapter

Founded in 2016, the Manhattan "Moush" Chapter works to unite Armenian youth and organize activities in the New York City area. The chapter has a Senior and Junior chapter. The Manhattan "Moush" Chapter sets out to achieve its goals and objectives throughout the year, including events such as April 24th protest in NYC, social networking events, and preparation for regional athletic events. The AYF-YOARF's five pillars (athletic, cultural, educational, political, social) guide this chapter and help keep its membership active and at the forefront of the Armenian Cause at all times.

The AYF-YOARF New York “Hyortik” Chapter existed even before the AYF was founded in 1933 and works to unite Armenian youth and organize activities in Queens and Long Island. The chapter has a Senior and Junior chapter. The New York “Hyortik” Chapter sets out to achieve its goals and objectives throughout the year with events such as commemorating the Armenian Genocide every April 24th in NYC; fundraising for our homeland; hosting a fall festival and Christmas dinner with juniors; annual Super Bowl parties; and ski trips. The AYF-YOARF’s five pillars (athletic, cultural, educational, political, social) guide this chapter and help to keep its membership active and at the forefront of the Armenian cause at all times.
