  1. “Do we need a second Trump in Washington?”

Question: was the above line part of Mr Sassounian’s own reasoning and submission for a title, or did someone at the Armenian Weekly add that in, “for good measure”?

Despite Trump being a clownish idiot, it’s almost as if what we have now is “brilliant” in comparison, including the most idiotic choice of a “vice president” in American history who makes Trump look like the best politician the world ever saw.

And Oz is not actually popular in conservative circles either, everyone knows his medical fraud also applies to his political status as a “Republican”. Oz is as republican as his confidante Oprah.

  2. The US Senate, US house of Representatives and the President have acknowledged the Armenian Genocide. The issue is now settled.

As an American Armenian I do not share the authors opinion, that conservative values are in conflict with our traditional Armenian values. In my experience, a significant percentage of American Armenians identify as conservative. As such, the comparison to President Trump, is not a persuasive argument, against this candidate. By the authors own admission, he has no idea, how the candidate, will interact with the Armenian Community or on issues related to Armenians. Stated differently, his conservative values should not disqualify him, the only issue as a community, is his policies toward the Armenians.

Invite him to our communities and ask him to address our concerns.

    1. What is settled? What changed? What are the implications? Armenians think that the US is literally the world. Is this acknowledgement even binding in anyway? Did Turkey loose on trade? Didn’t Regan do something similar? Hey and what did happen to the American natives? Did they all go on a permenant vacation? Can we talk about them? Ohh you help them open up some casinos? Nevermind, all good. USA! The worlds prime example of democracy, values, etc just like it’s best friend Saudi Head Chopper Arabia.
