  1. thanks you Barón Piligian for a very realistic summary of one of our great momentos in history.
one that should a Century later bring Armenias clóser to each other.

  2. My good mother-in-law is buried in the corner plot on the path to the Tehrlirian monument. I recall her words “mahis verch, mer sourp Tehrlirian bidi bashbanem”.
Your captures the spirit and sentiment of that generation.

  3. Thank you Stepan Piligian for such a fine article about our great hero,
    Soghomon Tehlirian.

  4. It’s sad, really. There are no Tehlirians in Armenia today to address the four new Pashas, who all worked tirelessly for 30 years to destroy Armenia’s future. Once a Tehlirian has a meeting with all four of these scoundrels, Armenia’s chances of improving will go up by 100% instantly.

Pasha #1: Levon Ter Pertos Pasha
    Pasha #2: Robert Kochar Pasha
    Pasha #3: Serjh Sargs Pasha
    Pasha #4: Nikol Pashin Pasha

And don’t forget all those sub-Pashas under the main Pashas of Armenia.

At this rate, Armenia is going to have more Pashas than Turkey, if not already.

  5. Mr Piligian thank you for a fine article and presenting the past in to the present. A generation comes and does incredible work and can change his or her nations history. The two generations that followed from 1860’s to 1920’s onward, gave us a country which is called today, Armenia. Those two generations were different breed. I don’t want to go into history or give names of the great people who sacrificed their lives who add up to thousands. Nothing great happened after after the 30s for fifty years. And than again came Arstakh and her new breed of people who made a difference for our nation. A new breed was also born in the Diaspora who were ready to make a difference by reminding the world of their forgotten responsibility. And they were able to. Soghomon and his comrades of Arms, such as Yerganian, Shiragian, Dzaghinian and Torlakians and the many who contributed to their successful contribution made us very very proud and put a meaning to our existence. However, look at us today. In this terrible moment that the Traiters have done their job again. From the four Presidents to a Prime Minester. One asks the question why and how come? I don’t know. The generation that is going to make a difference again positively, maybe is there in the present moment but it seems that no one is sure. Lets hope that things will eventually will work for our country and nation. God bless us all.
