The Armenian Weekly will be broadcasting the event featuring Garo Paylan live on the Armenian Weekly Facebook page on Oct. 4 at 7:30 p.m. (EST).
Paylan, one of three ethnic Armenians in the Turkish Parliament, will engage in a discussion of recent developments in Turkey and the Armenian community on Oct. 4, at 7:30 p.m., at the First Armenian Church, 380 Concord Ave., Belmont, Mass.
The event is sponsored by the National Association for Armenian Studies and Research (NAASR)/Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation Lecture Series on Contemporary Armenian Issues, and co-sponsored by the Kaloosdian-Mugar Chair in Armenian Genocide Studies at Clark University, the Hamazkayin Armenian Cultural and Educational Society, the Society of Istanbul Armenians of Boston, and the Tekeyan Cultural Association.
