Over 350 shots of different caliber weapons were shot by Azerbaijani forces in the direction of Armenian military positions along the LoC on the night of Aug. 2-3.

Harutyunyan’s death comes less than two weeks after another Armenian serviceman, Arsen Arakelyan was killed by Azerbaijani fire along the NKR LoC on July 23. On the night of July 22-23, another NKR serviceman, Mher Ziloyan (b. 1991), was wounded by Azerbaijani fire.

  1. It would have been useful for the report to have included how many Armenian soldiers have been killed and wounded since the April War. These individual reports without context don’t do the job.

  2. As things stand at the moment there seems to be very little hope for a peaceful resolution to the NK situation. The super powers are too keen to take the money from both sides of the conflict and sell them arms to continue the undeclared war after the so called ceasefire. We can not keep on losing our dear compatriots in this war of attrition. To keep our homeland independant and our people safe it is imperative that we maintain superioraty in defensive weapons and inteligence gathering. To achieve this we need hard cash. Every Armenian should concider their patriotic duty to contribute to this effort and donate whatever they can, say about 1% of their annual income. The Armenians of the Diaspora and the Governments of Armenia and Artsakh need to agree a workable process so that the money collected is spent for this pupose only.
