On Dec. 18, 2015, Florida Armenian Kris Khachaturian donated $100,000 to the Armenian Cultural Association of America (ACAA), for the construction of an Armenian Community Center in southern Florida.

For several years, the Armenian community of southern Florida has felt the need to have its own center, to be used by the various organizations in the area and for cultural initiatives. According to the ACAA, with Khachaturian’s generous donation, the center is now close to becoming a reality.

Kris Khachaturian is a longtime donor to the Armenian community of southern Florida. He has made numerous contributions to Armenian organizations over the years, including the Armenian Relief Society (ARS) and the ACAA.

    • we are not sure if we are… With all the occurrences after the genocide, it’s impossible to know. However, we are all family as Armenians. So proud of my Kheri Katcho. Love you

  1. Where in “southern Florida” is the community center going to be located? I just visited southwest and southeast Florida last week, and I vacation there quite often. It would be great to have an Armenian connection there.

  2. There are three Armenian communities in south Florida. 1) St Mary’s church in Ft. Lauderdale. 2) St David’s church in Boca Raton, Palm beach and the 3) ACAA
every Friday is a get together (no church).
I wish this 100k be divided into three(3) because each is suffering from lack of donations and there are expenses. South Florida is a small community.
