AMA to Show Two Short Films by Pashinyan

WATERTOWN, Mass.—The Armenian Museum of America will show two short films by Ruben Pashinyan on Sun., Sept. 27, from 3-5 p.m. in the Adele & Haig Der Manuelian Galleries in Watertown.

“Where the Euphrates, Son” (15 minutes) explores the idea of the Homeland and the continuation of Armenian lineage through the story of one grandfather who travels to Armenia as a tourist.

“Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia” (40 minutes) explores the history and tradition of the lost country and of Cilicia, a once-powerful kingdom with a strong navy and army that controlled the borders both on land and in the waters of the Mediterranean Sea.

Ruben Pashinyan is a graduate of the Yerevan Engineering University and the Actor’s Studio of Yerevan State Chamber Theatre. He has had a brilliant career as a documentary film and TV program scriptwriter. He is an actor, director, writer, and journalist, as well as a member of the Theatre Workers Union of Armenia, the International Federation of Journalists, and the Armenian Journalists Union.

Light refreshments will be served. Admission is $10 for non-members, and free for members. The Armenian Museum of America is located at 65 Main St., in Watertown.
