Musaner to Perform at Emmanuel Center

BOSTON, Mass.–On Sat., Dec. 14, the Andreassian Music Fund (AMF) will present Musaner, the critically acclaimed nine-piece jazz ensemble, at Emmanuel Center, on 15 Newbury St. in Boston.

Founded by pianist and composer Ara Sarkisian, Musaner has performed in top jazz venues around Boston and New York, as well as in Milan, Italy. The ensemble plays “hauntingly beautiful” renditions of folk songs from some of the most prolific Armenian composers, according to a New York critic.

The nine-piece orchestra also features Martin Haroutunian and saxophonists Todd Brunel, Ken Field, Marrio Cerra, bass player Blajke Newman, accordionist Roberto Cassan, drummer Gary Fieldman, and percussionist. Fabio Pirozzolo.

The event begins at 8 p.m. Guests will be seated at candlelit tables in a nightclub ambience. The $30 admission fee includes wine and snacks during the show, and a post-performance dessert reception.
