Job Opportunity: ARS Administrative Secretary

The Armenian Relief Society, Inc. (ARS) is looking for a full-time administrative secretary to provide administrative support to the executive director.

The secretary’s responsibilities include performing basic administrative procedures; prioritizing daily, weekly, monthly, and annual activities to meet deadlines; preparing correspondence, circulars, reports, and other written communications; and translating correspondence and other material, as needed. The secretary must also participate in meetings and conference calls and take minutes, to be transcribed in both Armenian and English. Other responsibilities include scheduling and coordinating meetings, conferences, appointments, and travel arrangements; maintaining assigned calendars; organizing and maintaining electronic and hard copy files and records; and utilizing computer software tools to manage documents and information.

Applicants—with a minimum of a high school diploma—should have a thorough knowledge of both spoken and written Armenian and English. They should have experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, internet tools, and other computer software. The organization is looking for applicants with 1-3 years of administrative work experience. Knowledge of or experience with non-profit organizations is preferred.
