By the way, Obama telephones Prime Minister Erdogan more than he does any other foreign leader because Obama is afraid of Erdogan’s nasty temper.

A side comment: Many of us prefer to use the term “Armenian Plateau” or “Western Armenia” instead of Anatolia.

I don’t get it.

I could understand Armenia, Western Armenia, Paris, Rome, or even Aleppo, but Istanbul?

And Dave – it’s an edited version of an answer I gave saying that my favorite vacation was the week I spent in Istanbul and the Princes Islands with my husband right before we got married, so it’s referring to my favorite vacation, rather than my favorite vacation spot.
