Goolkasian to Speak on ‘Healthy Lifestyles’

WATERTOWN, Mass.—On Mon., Nov. 5, Michael Goolkasian, an athlete and national sports advisor, will speak at the dinner meeting of the St. James Armenian Church Men’s Club on “Health and Healthy Lifestyles.”

Since 1980, Goolkasian has competed in more than 350 races, including 164 marathons and 9 Ironman competitions. He placed first in the Montreal Ironman competition and in Arizona’s Grand Canyon Marathon. He’s a member of the 50 State Marathon Club, having completed marathons in all 50 states, and is a guidance coach for the Big Brother Association. He’s also run 4 ultra-marathons of distances of up to 100 kilometers.

The social hour starts with mezza at 6:15 p.m., followed by a complete losh kebab and kheyma dinner at 7 p.m., for $12 per person. The dinner meeting is held at the St. James Armenian Church Charles Mosesian Cultural and Youth Center, Keljik Hall, 465 Mount Auburn St. in Watertown. Ladies are welcome to join.
