Hamazkayin Forum Begins in Yerevan

YEREVAN (A.W.)—On July 16, the 18thHamazkayin Forum began in Armenia with the participation of 31 students from the diaspora, Armenia, Karabagh, and Javakhk.

The two-week program includes lectures, panel discussions, museum visits, concerts, and excursions around the country. Lecturers include Dr. Hrant Mankarian (New York), Dr. Shahen Khachadrian (Yerevan), Dr. Michael Mensoian (Boston), Giro Manoyan (Yerevan), Khatchig Mouradian, the program’s director (Boston). Diasporan Armenians who have repatriated to Armenia will also join a panel discussion.

The museum visits include the National Museum of History, the Parajanov, Cafesjian, and Saryan museums. The cultural program includes a presentation by the National Musical Chamber Theatre, a meeting with singer and composer Vahan Ardzruni, and a concert by award-winning cellist Narek Hakhnazaryan.
