Drawing on July 20

WATERTOWN, Mass.—It’s that time of the year again, when sports fans can rejoice. The Armenian Library and Museum of America (ALMA) has launched its annual Spring Sports Raffle, giving participants the chance to catch the hottest tickets to the best games in New England. This year, supporters and sports fanatics can play to win 10 high-priced, highly prized packages valued at over $17,000.

ALMA’s Spring Sports Raffle Committee invites raffle supporters to the ‘Final Inning’ reception on July 20, where guests can enjoy ballpark staples and meet sportswriter Tony Massarotti (third from right) who also co-hosts ‘The Sports Hub’ radio talk show on 98.5 WBZ-FM in Boston.

Tickets are $100 each or five tickets for $300 (that’s two free tickets). Raffle tickets can be purchased by check or major credit card at www.almainc.org or by calling (617) 926-ALMA ext. 4.

In addition to the general drawing, buyers of the five for $300 special will also be entered into a special drawing that will entitle them to two tickets to the World Series at Fenway Park, if the Red Sox make it.

All proceeds from this campaign benefit ALMA’s exhibits, programs, and work in preserving Armenian artifacts and history.

This year’s Grand Prize features a Luxury Box for 22 guests to see the Red Sox face the Oakland Athletics on Aug. 27 at Fenway Park. Valued at $10,000 with food, beverages, and parking, this is the grand slam sports deal and steal of the year. Among the other terrific prizes being raffled are four Patriots seats in a private luxury suite at Gillette Stadium, four EMC Club seats to the Red Sox vs. New York Yankees game, Celtics Courtside seats, Bruins Club seats, and Box seats to see the Red Sox take on the Toronto Blue Jays and Baltimore Orioles. Boston Blazers lacrosse tickets are also a part of the prize mix for the third year in a row.

The Sports Raffle will conclude on Wed., July 20 with a special “Final Inning” reception hosted by ALMA. The event will take place from 6-7 p.m. in the museum’s third floor Contemporary Art Gallery and end with Tony Massarotti, acclaimed sportswriter and radio talk show co-host of “The Sports Hub” with Mike Felger (airs weekdays from 2-6 p.m. on 98.5 WBZ-FM in Boston), leading the prize drawing. While winners need not be present, all raffle supporters can attend the hour-long celebration to meet Massarotti and enjoy ballpark snacks and beverages.
