Rev. Koop to Lead Seminar at Armenian Memorial Church

WATERTOWN, Mass.—On Sat., May 7, the Armenian Memorial Church of Watertown will host its 8th annual Christian Education Seminar with Rev. Norman Koop of the First Congregational Church of Woodstock, Vt., leading the discussions.

Rev. Koop will discuss “The Problem of Indwelling Sin: What God Has to Say” in two sessions. The program begins at 9:30 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m., with coffee served before the first session at 10 a.m. There will be a break with lunch served in the social hall followed by the second session.

This is the second year the church has brought Rev. Koop to lead the seminar. Those who attended last year were moved and inspired by his dynamic and enriching presentation. He comes with a wealth of Christian knowledge and pastoral experience. Rev. Koop trained at the Stony Brook School, Eastern College, Eastern Baptist Seminary, and Princeton Theological Seminary, where he earned his of master of divinity and master of theology degrees. His expository writings bring a contemporary insight into the trusts of Scripture.

Rev. Koop served as pastor of the historic Deerfield Presbyterian Church in New Jersey and is currently pastor of the First Congregational Church, an independent Congregational Church featuring a Christ-centered worship, a caring fellowship with a steadfast commitment to evangelism and missions.

The public is invited to attend. Admission is free, although donations will be appreciated. The Armenian Memorial Church is located on 32 Bigelow Ave. in Watertown, just off Coolidge Square.
