St. Gregory Church Plans Joint Picnic

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass.—In the spirit of fellowship and unity, St. Gregory Armenian Apostolic Church will join hands with neighboring St. Michael’s Catholic Church in sponsoring a joint picnic for the second year.

The event will take place Sun., Sept. 12, from 1-6 p.m. along Main St. directly inside the town center.

Last year’s partnership proved so successful that officials from both churches decided to repeat the gesture. Both congregations will hold separate food venues and collaborate in other ways. Parking is a huge benefit.

At St. Gregory’s hall, the menu will include shish, losh, and chicken kebab, along with rice pilaf, salad, and Armenian pastries. Up the street inside the school hall, there will be hamburgers, hot dogs, pasta salad, slush, and American pastries.

The Siroun Dance Group will perform. Armenian American music and dancing will be featured, along with games and activities for the entire family.
