The Hamazkayin Sardarabad Dance Ensemble has taken part in the Skokie Festival of Cultures event every May for the past 13 years. This year, the dance group performed four dances ranging from the traditional folk song “Tamzara” to Gomidas’s “Alagyaz” and “Go, Go,” which is a combination of two harmonies where majestic meets accelerated and exciting tempo.
The dance group is led by two instructors, Houri Papazian and Sona Birazian, whose creativity and passion for the performing arts has taken the dance ensemble to a higher level of artistry. The dance ensemble currently has over 30 dancers and continues to grow.
