Theriault, Mouradian to Discuss Ankara Trip in Detroit

DEARBORN, Mich.—The ARF “Azadamard” Gomideh will sponsor a discussion featuring Prof. Henry Theriault and Armenian Weekly editor Khatchig Mouradian on Fri., June 11 beginning at 8 p.m. at the Armenian Community Center (ACC), 19310 Ford Rd. in Dearborn.

Theriault and Mouradian will talk about their experiences during the Armenian Genocide conference held in Ankara, Turkey, on April 25, and the issue of Armenian Genocide reparations.

The Ankara conference was organized by the Ankara Freedom of Thought Initiative and was held in a highly charged political atmosphere. Both Theriault and Mouradian participated on a panel devoted to the issue of Armenian Genocide reparations and their role in providing some justice for genocide victims. This panel proved to be the most controversial of the conference.

The public is invited to attend this important discussion. Admission is free. For more information, call the ACC at (313) 336-6840.
