NORTH ANDOVER, Mass.—On April 15, the Armenian Youth Federation (AYF) North Andover “Sassoun” Chapter hosted a spaghetti dinner fundraiser for Artsakh (Karabagh). More than 60 excited members of the community attended the event in support of New England’s smallest chapter, comprised of both Juniors and Seniors.
Hrag Arakelian, a member of the AYF Central Executive, spoke about the big accomplishments that this small chapter had made in the past year. Those accomplishments include being awarded the Most Improved Chapter award during AYF Olympics, attaining second place at Junior Athletic Games last fall, and maintaining one of the highest membership participation rates at their nine membership meetings in 2015.
This fundraiser is proof that the young chapter executive has been keeping the steam going since last year and is well on its way for another successful year. The chapter donated $250 of its spaghetti profits towards aid to Artsakh.
