Hamazkayin USA Eastern Regional Executive Committee visits “Petag”

On Monday, August 12, members of the Hamazkayin USA Eastern Regional Executive Committee visited the site of this year’s Petag Western Armenian Immersion Camp. The two-week camp, an initiative by the Hamazkayin Central Committee, is held annually at the picturesque St. Raphaela Center in Haverford, Pennsylvania. Hasmig Aprahamian, chair of the Eastern Regional Executive, Maroush Paneyan-Nigon, secretary, and Vartivar Keshishian, advisor, toured the camp and observed as the campers, ages 10-14, took part in various activities, honing their Western Armenian language skills. The executive thanks the directors of the camp for their hospitality and their dedication to this worthy endeavor, the education of our Armenian youth in the diaspora.
