Azerbaijan Continues to Violate the Ceasefire, Heavy Shelling Reported

STEPANAKERT, NKR (A.W.)—Azerbaijani forces continued to violate the ceasefire regime on the night of Nov. 10-11, by firing over a 1,100 shots toward Armenian positions on the Nagorno-Karabagh (Artsakh/NKR) Line of Contact (LoC).

The Azerbaijani Armed Forces used various caliber weaponry—including rocket-propelled grenades and mortars—to fire shots at various positions along the LoC, including the northern (Verin Chaylu and Talish) and northeastern (Yaremja) directions.

A total of 85 ceasefire violations by Azerbaijani forces were registered along the NKR LoC on Nov. 10-11 according to a press statement released by the NKR Defense Ministry.

According to another Defense Ministry statement, NKR military outposts located in the direction of Yaremja village continue to be subjected to intense shelling.

“NKR Defense Army front line units are taking actions in response to quell this aggressive activity by the adversary,” read a part of the statement, which also said that the full accountability for this rise in border tension falls on the Azerbaijani side.
