According to a statement released by Armenian law enforcement authorities, Gasparyan has also ordered an investigation into the excessive use of force by police officers and use of violence against media representatives during the protests in the aftermath of the Yerevan police station standoff. “Vladimir Gasparyan has instructed the heads of operative services to identify and detect the civilians involved in the incident who provoked the clashes and used violence against the assembly participants, journalists and police officers,” read a part of the statement.

Riot police clashed with hundreds of people late on July 29 near the police compound, which was being occupied by the armed group. A special report released by Human Rights Watch (HRW) concluded that Armenian police used excessive force against peaceful protesters, and assaulted journalists reporting on the demonstrations. According to the report, police used stun grenades, which wounded dozens of demonstrators, beat journalists and protesters, and detained dozens of people.

  1. Will Chief Vladimir Gasparyan’s investigation show that he, as Police Chief, ordered excessive violence against peaceful citizens? No way – even though everyone, with any knowledge of normal lawlessness of the criminal regime he is proudly a part of, knows much better. The whole reason the citizens have reached this tipping-point of hopeless desperation (even sparking this whole incident) is BECAUSE of the illegal and illegitimate rule by the criminals heading the Republican/Dashnak junta that eats away at Armenians via a mountain of injustices.

This will continue until a successful attempt at regime change occurs.

  2. Armenia’s Police Chief Vladimir Gasparyan should be sacked along with torturer Ashot Karapetian of Yerevan police force,Levon Yeranossian and plenty of other criminal police commanders, these are not police they are criminal thugs protecting their criminal master sultan serjik,so lets not get fooled with their foolish games.

The Armenian police force of 20000 is not all required, so at least 40% should be sent to defend the Artsakh front and not deliberately give lands to the Azeris in a predetermined plan by criminal serjik, secondly Armenian police force is number one in the world which spends the most money per head of population and the reason being to safeguard their police state.

What we have is a state hijacked by a criminal regime with force for their personal benefit.

If we don’t change this criminal regime the outcome will be very sad and dire for our people and nation.

  3. The order of Execution came from Sultan Serzh and executed by the other Pashas. They will be fired today and promoted to a higher position tomorrow. The housecleaning has to start on top like Serzhik pasha has suggested himself. However, to fire any of them is a consolation to people and may be a short them lesson to other police.
