Poem: Yet to Come…

Here…now
On this bright spring day
Let me dream of things,
Let me welcome days
Yet to come…

Yearning for peace
On this day of promise
Under cerulean skies
And an uncloaked
Radiating sun
Even grief
Mired in memory
Yellowed with time
Seems to smile with hope
Under a dormant sea of tears,
Now beyond recall…

Spring has chased fall
Humming a melody
Inside my head
Numbing the pain
Erasing the scars of time.
