The dinners were prepared and served by Providence ARF members and hamagirs. Sevan Donoian served as the emcee, and read about both the Khanasor Expedition of 1896 and the more recent (and as significantly important) victory in Shushi, Karabagh. Both battles played a significant role in the history of the ARF and the Armenian nation.

The Homenetmen Scouts and Providence AYF members sang songs appropriate to the day. A blessing was offered by Archpriest Gomidas Baghsarian. The music was provided by Mike Gregian, Gary Kashmanian, and Hagop Garabedian, who donated their services in memory of their fathers, Unger Arthur Gregian and Unger Khatchig Garabedian, and those who were lost during these battles.
