Artbox launches its career acceleration program with 24 creative entrepreneurs

Creative Armenia is thrilled to introduce the 24 individual artists who have joined the Artbox Entrepreneur program and embarked on their career acceleration journey toward becoming creative entrepreneurs. Artbox Entrepreneur offers artists an unparalleled opportunity to launch their creative careers, elevate their personal branding and maximize their revenue.

Since October, these 24 artists have been participating in a six-week program that will run until early December 2024. During this time, they are engaging in weekly workshops, submitting focused assignments, and receiving mentorship from distinguished experts in business and entrepreneurship from France, Italy, Spain, Mexico and the U.S. Artbox Entrepreneur is assisting artists in enhancing their self-branding, promotion and sales, advancing their careers and more. At the conclusion of the program, up to 24 artists will receive grants totaling up to €60,000 to implement their entrepreneurial plans developed during Artbox.

“Artbox Entrepreneur has its unique place in the development of creative industries in Armenia, its focal point being the development of personalized business models for individual artists and advancement of entrepreneurial skills. The 24 individual artists selected for Artbox Entrepreneur are:

  • Anahit Ghazakhetsyan

A poet and translator, Anahit Ghazakhetsyan is the author of two books exploring the ever-changing meanings of things and the fragile nature of memory through different forms of storytelling.

  • Anush Gurgenyan

A passionate illustrator and animator, Anush Gurgenyan is an artist who blends visual art with storytelling.

  • Arman Gasparyan

A photographer and content creator with an expertise in documentary and cinematic styles, Arman Gasparyan enjoys working in both digital and analog photography while exploring AI and the metaverse.

  • Christine Abrahamyan 

A designer, architect and founder of CA Design studio, Christine Abrahamyan creates environments using visual movements of line, volume and color to express stories, reflections and emotions.

  • Dina Zadoorian

Dina Zadoorian is a jewelry designer who weaves together multicultural stories through her intricate creations.

  • Ezekiel Guiragossian

Ezekiel Guiragossian is a circus artist, teacher and social worker with over 10 years of experience in artistic and social projects worldwide, using his skills to provide education and entertainment.

  • Gayane Ghazaryan

Gayane Ghazaryan is a fashion designer and creative individual whose boundless inspiration and ambition drive her to explore new paths in her work, constantly pushing the boundaries of fashion and innovation.

  • Gayane Hakobyan

Gayane Hakobyan is an illustrator and graphic designer fueled by a passion for the magic of visuals.

  • Hasmik Badoyan

Hasmik Badoyan is a multimedia artist focused on digital animation, generative art and audiovisual performance, creating immersive visual and auditory experiences.

  • Lilit Mardanyan

Lilit Mardanyan is a comics and graphic artist passionate about exploring various mediums in her visual art, creating unique and engaging narratives through her work.

  • Lilit Nazaretyan

A multimedia specialist and a creative storyteller, Lilit Nazaretyan uses multimedia to engage audiences and drive social change through compelling narratives.

  • Lizzy Vartanian

Lizzy Vartanian is a British-Armenian embroidery artist whose work is deeply inspired by traditional Armenian embroidery techniques.

  • Mane Tatulyan

Mane Tatulyan is a Ph.D. student, professor, writer and designer working at the intersection of philosophy and applied arts, blending her expertise to explore complex ideas.

  • Mane Yengibaryan

Mane Yengibaryan is a graphic designer and board game creator dedicated to blending design with Armenian culture through her company, Jeng Games, which introduces innovative, culturally inspired games to a wider audience.

  • Mariam Arushanyan

Mariam Arushanyan is a sound director and creator from Nagorno-Karabakh who uses sound to convey human stories, sharing real-life experiences through her work.

  • Marina Hagopian

Marina Hagopian is a sculptor who experiments with new techniques and explores innovative ideas, believing in the fluidity of artistic expression. Each piece reflects her passion for creativity and discovery.

  • Marita Bardakjian

Marita Bardakjian is a visual artist and a teacher with a fine arts background. She has created community projects in Beirut for children on the spectrum. After moving to Canada and participating in exhibitions, she has now settled in Armenia.

  • Mary Danielyan

Mary Danielyan is a filmmaker and photographer who loves to capture moments and stories, creating and visualizing new worlds while conveying emotions through audiovisual media.

  • Mary Galstian

Mary Galstian is a singer and songwriter dedicated to creating emotional and spiritual impact, nurturing and touching people’s hearts through her voice, presence and life story.

  • Naré Arist

Naré Arist is a film producer, director and writer committed to crafting compelling stories for the screen that resonate with audiences across cultures.

  • Narek Jhangiryan

Narek Jhangiryan is a fashion designer with over seven years of experience and the founder of the clothing brand JHANGIRIAN, where he has designed over 200 garments to raise awareness of social issues.

  • Rosemary Schwartz

Rosemary Schwartz is an Armenian-American fashion designer inspired by blending Eastern and Western influences in her designs.

  • Trdat Shiroyan

Trdat Shiroyan is a photographer with six years of experience, aiming to showcase his unique style in the Armenian market and eventually on the international stage.

  • Yelena Nersesyan

Yelena Nersesyan is a comics artist and illustrator who creates comics, illustrations and animations inspired by Armenian history, mythology and fairy tales to promote Armenian culture.
