The winner of this 14-round tournament, one of the strongest in chess history, will challenge world champion Viswanathan Anand for the world title.

In Round 4, Aronian drew his game with the black pieces against Peter Svidler (Russia), while Carlsen, who was trailing Aronian by half a point, defeated Alexander Grischuk (Russia) and caught up with the Armenian.

Then Armenian Weekly is providing day-to-day coverage from the tournament in London on its Facebook page. Brazil’s chess champion Krikor Sevag Mekhitarian wrote a brief analysis of the first three rounds for the Weekly earlier this week.
