Element Officially Named After Armenian Physicist
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. (A.W.)—On Nov. 28, the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) approved the name and symbols for the four following elements: Nihonium (Nh), Moscovium (Mc), Tennessine (Ts), and Oganesson (Og)—after Russian-Armenian physicist Yuri Tsolakovich Oganessian.
