  1. Even by the low standards that apply to shills for corrupt petro-dictators, Azerbaijan has a remarkably lame cohort of propagandists spinning their bizarre and incoherent fictions. You’d think that with all that dirty money the Aliyev crime family could do better.

  2. by suing the guilty parties, a precedent will be set. which is good and might send a message that in the future…. think twice.

  3. Like him or not, this resonates well with President Trump’s initiative to rid the nation of fake news propagators and clean up the swamp (or is it the sewers?!!). Sadly, the corrupt reporting seems to be emanating from certain liberal as well as, in this instance, conservative quarters.

  4. About Forbes Contributors (as Forbes terms them), one such contributor (Josh Steimle) has written “At Forbes, contributors post directly to the live site. Yeah, no editing, no quality check – just click “post” and it goes live”, and he goes on to say that contributors get paid nothing by Forbes but can gain income from their articles by other means. A reply to a response comment elaborates on this, Steimle says that PR firms hire Forbes Contributors “to get an article into Forbes” – in other words a PR firm will hire an established Forbes Contributor (or established Daily Caller “columnist”) to write an article about whatever subject that PR firm’s client wants to obtain publicity about, and will give that subject whatever spin the client desires. Under such circumstances, I doubt “The views and opinions expressed in this commentary are those of the author and do not reflect the official position of The Daily Caller” disclaimers gives any legal protection to the publisher.
