Garen Yegparian is a fat, bald guy who has too much to say and do for his own good. So, you know he loves mouthing off weekly about anything he damn well pleases to write about that he can remotely tie in to things Armenian. He's got a checkered past: principal of an Armenian school, project manager on a housing development, ANC-WR Executive Director, AYF Field worker (again on the left coast), Operations Director for a telecom startup, and a City of LA employee most recently (in three different departments so far). Plus, he's got delusions of breaking into electoral politics, meanwhile participating in other aspects of it and making sure to stay in trouble. His is a weekly column that appears originally in Asbarez, but has been republished to the Armenian Weekly for many years.

  1. Shameful, disgusting insensitive.
    Hakobian and Harutunian are not the only two members of Parliament that have shown no interest to improve the economic conditions of the population.
    The parliament is loaded with members who are merely stooges of the oligarchs. Unfortunately they were elected.
    The issue is not that the poor have no money to buy expensive products, but the reality is that they are in dire conditions and live well below any humane and acceptable poverty line; they can’t even put food on their tables to survive.
    Regardless of what your leanings are about the political environment in Armenia, this is not defendable nor acceptable.
    Sad reality about the callousness and lack of reaction, tepid at most, from the other membrs of Paliament.

  2. the Cinicism of this two “parlamentaries” the best indicator of persons level of education. This is the level of 95% of Armenian Parliament Bunch of Vulgars.

  4. these creatures don’t have the right to be called Armenian ignorant self centered liability to a precious culture that needs service and unselfish care….I wonder what Kachen Vartan would have done with them
