  1. I absolutely don´t understand that the EU is not taking more serious action against the development in dictator Erdogans´ Turkey ! Turkey needs Europe to export its agricultural products; but Europe needs Turkey for what ? It are only the United States that imagine to need Turkeys one million soldiers against Russia. But which European country WANTS to have a war against Russia ?
For me it is clear that all European governments are ruling AGAINST the will of their citizens. Only the requests of the war addicted United States have to be fulfilled. – As long as Europe doesn´t stop the dictator he will continue to grow. The same happened with Hitler before World War II.

  2. NO we are not living in 1915, we are living in the 21st century. By linking everything back we keep being stuck in the past, looking for old solutions instead of realizing the contemporary times and realities. By living in the present, we can overcome current obstacles and deal with contemporary issues and realities.

  3. Although we are NOT living in the past (Thank God), we should realize that Turkish mentality of 1915 is still “healthy” and present. In a way nothing has changed in regards to geopolitics and the way to resolve issues.

Erdogan talks of their “glorious Ottoman past”, Russia is in a bargaining mood with Turkey (often at the expense of Armenia), Mosul has stirred Turkish appetites for expansion, Kurds are forging their national statehood (pitting Turkey against them)…and then there’s Azerbaijan… 1920-1989 has disappeared from history and we’ve opened our eyes to find ourselves reliving 1990 followed the year 1920.

It is incumbent on Armenians, in Armenia and throughout the world, to not repeat the mistakes of the political inexperience of 1918 and gather our forces to defeat any possibility of the return of in-“glorious” Ottoman appetites.

  4. Totally ABSURD , and ANYONE who compares the events with the Armenian Genocide and/or April24 is ABSURD too… It seems even some genocide survivors are unaware and unconscious about the consequences of Armenian Genocide and its magnitude… Enough is enough , this is an absolute denial of Armenian Genocide! Please just stop using these words/phrases with each so called “opportunity”… The word “genocide” is not your toy!

  5. WR – German Chancellor Merkel has morgaged her future to Erdogan to the extent that she is almost his puppet. If she does anything to seriously protest his dictatorship he just has to push a few hundred thousand migrants out through the Turkish border into the EU to destroy Merkels’ political credibility within Germany. Most other European govermnents have similar weaknesses. In Britain, the BBC simply does not report anything in depth about the current events in Turkey because it is too committed to maintining its refugee myth (as opposed to the truth – economic migrants enabled by Turkey to enter the EU) and the myth that an Islamic government can ever be democratic and open. A Clinton presidency will need Turkey’s help in any planned military interventions in Syria so expect continued inactivity from America too.

  6. And Kurds will have a May 28, 1918 too… Yes, their annihilation in Turkey will sow the seeds of their Kurdistan across the Turkish borders. And then who knows what policies will ensue in the area. So far as the world is multi-polar politically and militarily, one’s loss in some political order will be one’s gain across those borders. There WILL be a Kurdistan: Yet unsure which military godfather will establish a highly sophisticated military zone there. Blood and sacrifice is needed, to earn a land, and to safeguard it too.
