Tom Vartabedian is a retired journalist with the Haverhill Gazette, where he spent 40 years as an award-winning writer and photographer. He has volunteered his services for the past 46 years as
a columnist and correspondent with the Armenian Weekly, where his pet project was the publication of a special issue of the AYF Olympics each September.

My music teachers did the same for me. I’m a cellist and play and teach classical music. It’s a gift I love to share.
Wow. Just imagine how much that teacher loved all of you to have you attend her wedding, and provide a bus for you as well. Just goes to show you the true lasting power of a great teacher. My inspiration came from our beloved choirmaster Armen Babamian and the incredible George Mgrdichian. Not only did they teach you to appreciate their music but they were positively inspirational people!
