Raffi Sarkissian

Raffi Sarkissian is the principal of the ARS Armenian Private School of Toronto. He is the founder and former chair of the Sara Corning Centre for Genocide Education (www.corningcentre.org). He is an educator, human rights advocate, public speaker and poet. He holds a BA Hons. in history and a MEd from York University, and a BEd from Trent University. Raffi is also a Doctorate in Education Candidate from Western University (2022).

  1. A message to international community
    Violence of turkish tribes, including azeries is gradually increasing humiliating international laws, humanity and peacebuilding.

    Stop turkish/azeries violence otherwise the same thing will or why will is already happening to you.
    Turks are standing behind ISIS, bombing the streets in Europe, Syria, Nagorno Karabagh, Armenia. Stop the aggressor to protect yourself and your childre.

  2. We Armenians must stop fantasizing that this corrupt, one-sided and spineless organization (OSCE) will ever muster up the courage to do the right thing and call out the aggressor. We must instead rely on our will and power to force the cessation of hostilities by taking the fight to the enemy and bring them down to their knees for the only way they will come to their senses is through massive and debilitating violence against their forces. That is the only language they understand. Diplomacy does not mean a thing in that part of the world and it is viewed as a sign of weakness and only the strong and is respected.

    I think two of the real reasons this dysfunctional organization won’t call out and point finger at the aggressor is:

    1. Genocidal Turkey and her racist leaders, who openly encourage violence against the Armenians, primarily for cheap Caspian oil and for finding in Azerbaijan another anti-Armenian racist partner whose resources they can utilize in various situations such as in the denial of the Armenian Genocide, and never shy away from their open and steadfast support for the criminal collaborator Azerbaijanis, is a crucial NATO ally in control of very important piece of realty, the occupied Western Armenia that is, which double-talking and gutless western powers need to ensure their control over the Middle East and to have the Middle eastern oil-flow to the west to continue uninterrupted.

    2. The artificial state of Azerbaijan is the new gold mine in post-Soviet era in the region for the west to watch over while western companies continue to drain the last drop of oil from this dictatorship and deliberately turn a blind eye on its dictators running this gold mine and give consent, with impunity, to these dictators for the violence they commit in the region.
