“ATP is proud to partner with Synopsys, a company that is playing a leadership role in volunteerism and environmental health,” said ATP Executive Director Jeanmarie Papelian. “The commitment Synopsys has shown by partnering with ATP for the past 10 years proves that the company stands proudly for corporate responsibility and good citizenship.”

“Such events give our staff a chance to become participants in the improvement of our natural surroundings,” said Dr. Yervant Zorian, Synopsys’ chief architect and principal analyst, as well as a member of the National Academy of Sciences. “And at the same time they help to initiate the culture of social responsibility in their children, which is a very important factor for the future of the country.”

“We chose this location for the planting so that Synopsys staff and their families would not only enjoy the renovated park, but would also have their investment in the beautification processes. I’m certain that today’s event will stay in the children’s memories for life,” said Synopsys Armenia Director Hovik Musaelyan.

“This is another exemplary and state-of-art approach to reaching out to non-traditional partners, and ATP looks forward to another decade of long and fruitful partnership with Synopsys. Our cooperation is a true model of inspiration to all companies based in Armenia,” said ATP Country Director Lucineh Kassarjian.

Since its inception in 1994, ATP has planted more than 4.7 million trees, established 3 nurseries and 2 environmental education centers, and has greened villages, churches, parks, and open spaces throughout Armenia. In the process, the organization has provided employment for hundreds of people and provided vital resources to thousands of villagers. The organization’s current campaign is the Living Century Initiative, launched to commemorate the centennial of the Armenian Genocide. For more information, visit www.livingcentury.org.
